Overnight oats have transformed my mornings for the better. I was seriously shocked at how delicious the numerous recipes I have tried this far have been. But this apple cinnamon overnight oats recipe has really been my favorite so far!This breakfast is so easy to make the night before, which really helps making your mornings easier. Overnight oats can be made with a variety of different kinds of oats, like rolled, instant, steel cut- whichever is your favorite. I used plain instant oatmeal since we already had some in the kitchen cabinet. You make these oats by soaking them in liquid over night, like almond milk, regular milk, or any other liquid you would choose to make your oatmeal with.
Add some delicious toppings like fruit, peanut butter, chia seeds- whatever you like to beef up your breakfast! This recipe is for apple cinnamon overnight oats and it is absolutely delicious and quick and easy to make.
-1 individual packet of plain instant oatmeal
-1/2 cup skim milk (or a variation)
-1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
-1 small apple
-1 teaspoon chia seeds
-1 teaspoon honey
-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1. In a mason jar or container of your choice, add instant oatmeal, yogurt and skim milk together and mix until all the oatmeal is wet.
2. Stir in chia seeds and diced apples.
3. Top with honey and cinnamon.
4. Cover the container and leave in the refrigerator overnight or for a few hours.
